MEDIA RELEASE

Students from Barrack Heights Public School will benefit from upgraded outdoor learning spaces and a playground, under the latest round of the Albanese Government’s Schools Upgrade Fund.

Across New South Wales, a total of $68 million in funding will go towards vital infrastructure projects for public schools, including $2.4 million for Barrack Heights Public School.

Public schools with the greatest need have been prioritised, including schools with high numbers of students from a low-socio economic background, First Nations Students, and students with disability.

Public schools which haven’t received significant capital funding in the last two years have also been prioritised.

Round 2 was open to all public schools and applications closed in February.

School applications were reviewed by their relevant state and territory education departments which made recommendations to the Australian Government.
