DOZENS OF LOCAL COMMUNITY ORGANISATIONS RECEIVE VOLUNTEER GRANTS

32 local community organisations are receiving a share in a total of nearly $62,000, as part of the Albanese Government’s 2023-24 Volunteer Grants.

Grants of up to $5,000 are being provided to community organisations across the region to buy small equipment for volunteers or reimburse their fuel, transport, or training costs.

Successful community organisations include:

  • Dapto Netball Club - $2,500 for registration, equipment, and training expenses.
  • Southern Highlands Community Hospice - $4,000 for palliative care training for volunteers.
  • Robertson Agricultural and Horticultural Society - $2,000 for payment equipment for their annual show.

The $10 million 2023-24 Volunteer Grant Round assists eligible not-for-profit community organisations support the efforts of their volunteers, and also involves the inclusion of vulnerable people and promoting awareness to increase participation in volunteering.
