Throsby MP Stephen Jones has welcomed an injection of funds to construct the long awaited Robertson Aquatic Centre.

He also congratulated all those who have campaigned for years for a pool in Robertson.

Residents in Robertson and surrounding areas will be the beneficiary of a 25 metre, four lane heated swimming pool that includes facilities for older people and people with a disability.

New funding in the order of $542,637, which was granted under the National Stronger Regions Fund, is a fantastic development for the region.

With summers set to grow hotter and hotter it is important that people in rural areas have a place to cool off so this aquatic centre cant come soon enough.
