Member for Whitlam Stephen Jones has today visited Lake Illawarra South Public School and Warilla Public School to inspect two local projects funded under the Albanese Government’s School’s Upgrade Fund.
They include:
- $20,000 for air conditioning units in classrooms at Lake Illawarra South Public School.
- $20,000 for upgrades at Warilla Public School’s playground.
At the 2022 federal election, Labor committed to funding the local projects as part of a $21.6 million investment for priority capital projects across the country.
The Albanese Government’s Schools Upgrade Fund Round 1 and Targeted Round is providing a total of more than $270,000 in funding for around a dozen local projects at schools in the Illawarra and Southern Highlands.
